Shahrukh khan, the name is itself now synonymous with success and being brash about it. Starting as a television artist, shahrukh khan is the currently reigning Badshah of bollywood. Over a couple of decades ago, a shy and average looking guy started appearing in two immensely popular television series on Door Darshan, the govt. entertainment medium. His performances were absolutely devoured by the audiences, giving rise to the legend of King khan.
His debut movie, Dil Ashna Hai was neither a critical success nor a commercial one, but his subsequent movies were tremendous success on both the fronts. He took a chance and signed up a couple of movies that had him playing a negative role but even these were loved by the audiences who thronged the theatres repeatedly. Not only are his movies a rage in India, but he’s love equally abroad as well.
shahrukh khan was recently named one of the most recognizable face on the planet earth. His movies inadvertently make a lot of money from ticket sales abroad, earning him the title of king of overseas collections. Shahrukh Khan songs are also very popular and a rage amongst one and all. Recently while shooting in Germany, there was a large group of Germans that surrounded him and sang his songs, often not knowing a single word of the song.
One of the most entertaining sights happens on shahrukh khan birthday, when people throng his house Mannat, and wait patiently for hours just to get a glimpse of their favorite star. People turn up with birthday greeting, cakes and gifts, showering their blessings and asking for the long life. Even the media goes into frenzy on shahrukh khan birthday and most of the news channels are seen to be covering this event more than any other events or any other celebrities.
A recent movie of Shahrukh khan is reported to have grossed nearly two hundred Crores in box office collections and is still considered to not be a blockbuster simply because at a hundred and fifty crores, it was the most expensive movie ever made in India. Just like other SRK khan songs, the numbers from this movie as well were chartbusters and one of the most downloaded songs in the recent past all across the world.
Whatever SRK does has to attract sever criticism, with his stupendous success he’s made as many enemies as he’s made friends. Nothing however comes in the path of shahrukh khan and his goals. As a school going child, he was very active in extracurricular activities and often excelled in whatever he chose. It’s a known fact that for Shahrukh Khan songs, he doesn’t rehearse the dancing movements as he believes in spontaneity and also trusts his own dancing skills. His foray into television industry wasn’t as successful for him as the movies have been, but nevertheless he continues trying as apparently the fans can never have enough of their bellowed Badshah khan King khan.
